Plug-in ECU

ipec has produced replacement ECU boards and adaptors for the original ECU on Mitsubishi EVO 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9. Subaru WRX 1995-96, 1997-98, 1999-00 and 2001-2007. Mazda MX5 and RX7. Toyota GT4 and MR2. Nissan SR and RB engines. The original motherboard and connector are removed from the ECU case, and the ViPEC motherboard and connector, clips or screws into the case. The original harness plugs in and the job is done, no wiring and all original sensors are used. External view of ECU case and connector is unchanged from its stock appearance.

Most plug-in ECU have an internal 2.5 bar map sensor. Optional 7 bar map sensor available. External map sensors also supported.


Considerable gains in power across the complete RPM range can be achieved with these boards. Both road car and Group N rally car versions available.

Allows full control over fuel, ignition timing, boost pressure and all other engine functions. All boards have QuickTune software and optional Anti-lag.
All boards are supplied with base programs are available. Some final tuning will be required.

V88 Model ECU


The ViPEC V88 is our most advanced ECU. This ECU has many features which allow it to be setup to suit various types of engine configurations. It has very flexible options over how the inputs and outputs are controlled, and allows the user to design their own functions to control all sorts of devices. Precise control of injectors and ignition angle are guaranteed at very low or high RPM or manifold pressures. A very high level of protection from interference and tolerance of trigger input errors has been built into this ECU, ensuring a smooth running engine even under the most demanding conditions.

Variable camshaft control for up to four camshaft. Control of camshaft position is very precise and time taken to advance from full retard to full advance is less the 1 second. Support for VVT and VANOS systems.

Closed loop control of idle speed and boost pressure makes for a "factory" idle speed stability, and precise control of boost pressure. Boost control can be setup to provide a different boost in each gear.

Individual Cylinder Knock control, with support for two sensors. Knock control is user definable with flexible settings to allow precise knock control.

E-Throttle (Electronic Throttle Control).

Peak and hold injector drivers are 10 amp. Both the peak Amps and hold Amps can be set separately in the software for optimum injector control. See setup screen.

The ViPEC V44 is our budget model. Despite this, the V44 is very capable with control of up to four variable cams, support for engines up to twelve cylinders. Software has very flexible options over how the inputs and outputs are controlled, and allows the user to design their own functions to control all sorts of devices. Std Standard ENR55 rally suspension system is our rally model that encompasses all our experience. This system includes an external nitrogen reservoir which increases the amount of oil in the suspension and therefore keeps the oil at the proper temperature to prevent changes in the damping, due to extreme driving over a long period of time in a rally. This rally suspension system has more travel than a regular suspension. The stroke, valve, damping force and fluid are specifically made for professional rally use. The ENR55 Rally suspension system’s cylinders are manufactured with an increased diameter. For McPherson strut type vehicles, we use an inverted design and for some of these cars the diameter of the cylinders can go up to 55mm.

An increase in the size of the seamless steel tube by up to 44 mm, combined with an inverted strut type design for the ENR series on the McPherson applications will make for a more sensitive and comfortable suspension that will react quickly and precisely to small bumps and irregularities on the track. The rigidity of the suspension is also greatly enhanced, improving road contact and handling and therefore providing better control.

Std Standard ENR, ENR2 and ENR3 suspension systems are our circuit models that encompass all our experience in automotive racing. Named the ENR series because the suspension system includes an external nitrogen reservoir, which, depending on the type of car, is available as a piggyback reservoir type or as a remote reservoir type. This circuit suspension is available in three versions: non-adjustable reservoir (ENR), adjustable reservoir for compression adjustment (ENR2) and adjustable reservoir with separate low speed and high speed compression adjustments (ENR3). The external reservoir increases the amount of oil in the suspension, which in turn keeps the oil at the proper temperature to prevent changes in the damping due to extreme driving over a long period of time on the circuit. The stroke, valve, damping force and fluid are specifically made for circuit racing. The Circuit ENR suspension system’s cylinders are manufactured with an increased diameter. For McPherson strut type vehicles, we use an inverted design and for some of these cars the diameter of the cylinder can go up to 44mm. These suspension systems are designed for advanced and professional drivers that need great suspension tuning possibility at each and every race track they will visit regardless of weather conditions. The Std R3 suspension system has an enhanced forged front pillow-ball top mount to increase steering response. The R3 suspension system also includes an adjustable top mount camber plate for McPherson vehicles. All the suspension systems from the R series provides a multi-positional manual damping force adjustment. Each application has a specific number of adjustments. To increase rigidity, you turn clockwise, whereas to decrease rigidity, you turn counter-clockwise. Set your handling and ride as comfortably as you like.

S1 Suspension System

S1 Suspension System - More than a basic suspension

With Std Standard you get the comfort you deserve even with our entry level suspension systems. It is possible to lower the height of your car without affecting the travel of the suspension. Our suspension systems retain more stroke, so your handling will not be affected by the inconvenience of a shortened stroke drop such as a shock & lowering spring combo kit or a cheap coil over system, which are found on many well know brands. This suspension system offers a higher level of suspension for the same price. A Std S1 system is made with the same manufacturing processes and technology as all our other suspension systems. As well, all our suspension systems have a separate ride height and pre-load adjustments which is something that even some of the better known brands cannot claim.

Our full length adjustment system from the lower mount allows separate ride height and spring pre-load adjustments to increase performance while keeping the comfort. You can decide on your desired height first without affecting the spring pre-load, and afterwards you can set the pre-load.
